這座賴恩爵將軍第，更像一座迷宮。穿過一道道門，行過一條條巷，稍不注意就會迷失方向。將軍第里的巷子特別窄，兩手撐開就可以抵住兩側巷墻，從防衛角度看，有“一夫當關，萬夫莫開”的效果。
由于巷子高而且窄，太陽能照進來的時間就很短，這也是它涼爽的原因，因而被稱為“冷巷”。
The mansion is more like a maze． If not paying attention， you will lose your way when walking through the doors and alleys． The lanes here are so narrow that two hands can hold out against the lane walls on both sides． From the defense perspective， it has the effect of＂one man in front of the gate， no one can open it．＂
Because the alley is high and narrow， it can only be exposed to sunlight for a short time， which is why it is cool． Therefore， these alleys are called＂cold alley＂．
